One of our earliest projects, circa 2016.  Includes:

  • LED headlights, backup lights, ditchlights, and numberboard lights
  • ESU LokSound Select
  • 16mm x 35mm speaker under rear radiator fans
  • Converted to a GMD style unit instead of EMD style
  • Custom paint shades and decals
  • All custom paint, Microscale decals
  • Repainted from early 2000s Atlas CN EMD GP40 #4006

Assembly and Painting:

Unpainted model with added nose details
During the rebuild process, we changed some of the details to better reflect Canadian-built GP40s. The headlight was moved to the nose, the bell to the front of the cab, and the horn to mid-hood.

A number of extra roof details were also added. An air conditioner to keep the crew cool in the summer, a winterization hatch to keep the engine warm in the winter, and two Sinclair antennas
